Video Message Tips to Consider:
Sound – Test your technology and environment to make sure you can be heard clearly
Pause – The final video file does not have to be perfect, you can ‘mess up’, pause, and start again
Lighting – Do not place your light source behind you, instead, face it and use it to light yourself
Awareness – Make sure the background is clean, not distracting, and is family-friendly
Distance – The farther away from the camera you are, the less personal
Framing – Keep the camera or device you are using to record at eye level. Keep yourself centered
Notes – If you are reading from written notes, make sure your eye line is still looking mostly at the camera lens
Headroom – Give yourself just a little headroom
